ORGANIZATION OF THE ASSOCIATION

Toben has a President and 6 Vice Presidents, all of whom are elected directly by the member lawyers and all of whom serve 1-year terms.  The President represents and manages the affairs of Toben with the assistance of the Vice Presidents. The House of Delegates, consisting of 80 representatives elected directly by the member lawyers, adopts regulations of the Association and deliberates with respect to matters relating to Toben's management. Toben's finances are supervised by 2 Auditors who are also elected directly by the member lawyers. The annual General Meeting of the Association is held in May. Amendment of Toben's Articles of Association and Regulations and approval of the annual budget and the settlement of accounts must be resolved at the General Meeting.

The Secretariat Offices of the Association assists the President in the administration of Toben's affairs. As of December 2005, Toben had 56 employees in the Secretariat Office. The Research Office, which conducts research and studies matters relating to the profession, has 7 lawyers assigned to it, and the Public Relations Office, which deals with public relations and publicity for Toben, has 2 lawyers assigned to it.
